Tales of of Gorluth III is an excellent game, it's an example of what the Amiga could've been capable of had it kept going commercially and been properly supported, I recommend this as a purchase, especially for the price.

To get the best performance, you will need to load workbench and transfer the whole directory in the Ram disk and load from there.

I had some comments on here previously, as I was having some trouble getting the game to boot using PUAE (an emulator core supported in Retroarch - I use it for the excellent CRT shader support as shown in the pic below) .

To get this working in PUAE I recommend using WinUAE first to create a .uae configuration file - you will want to add workbench 3.1 to the floppy drive adf and then add (the game folder) as a directory and configure it as you need to. Make sure you have a workbench adf and unzip the game folder.

Ensure you have sprite / playfield set as collision, cycle compatibility as more compatible, and 68040 as the CPU and 2mb chip ram & 8mb fast ram. To prevent any in game slow down enable sub pixel emulation as a setting. Save a .uae config file in WinUAE, and copy this file into the game folder that you will use in PUAE, change the file paths as needed, and delete the graphics settings out of the .uae config so it uses your default settings in PUAE (use Notepad++ for any changes).

Once complete boot using the .uae file in PUAE and you're good to go.

Include the following lines into .uae config if they're not automatically populated and edits the paths to match where you've stored files in you directories:

floppy0=C:\Amiga Games\Workbench\Workbench v3.1.adf

filesystem2=rw,DH0:TOGIII-030-EN:C:\Amiga Games\Talesofgorluth3\TOGIII-030-EN,0

uaehf0=dir,rw,DH0:TOGIII-030-EN:C:\Amiga Games\Talesofgorluth3\TOGIII-030-EN,0

Thx! Glad you like TOG.

And thanks for the config Info!

I'm really looking forward to the Scorpion Engine implementation. The music in the video is also great.

Thx. It was really cool to produce a studio version of the original TOG mod file.

Scorpion Engine versions will need some years to produce so enjoy the original version.

Thanks for the tip but I already own the game.

Awesome! Thx

tbh i don't get it why everyone's so excited about scorpion engine games.. they're not really an imorovement (unless you have unupgraded original hardware) and most of them don't even let you play without a joystick..

I own the original game on CD. It's not bad but has some weaknesses. It's nice that RPGs are still being released for the Amiga.

But I'm also looking forward to the Scorpion prototype and I'm excited about the video. I hope it will be released.
